OBJECTIVES

We are looking for a Strategic Planning Manager (Strategy Manager) who has experience in developing marketing, brand and communications strategies, with a strong business acumen and a passion for developing impactful total marketing solutions. You will be a manager of a strategy team within our Strategy Department, together driving outstanding business results for PMAX.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Pitching & Client acquisition
  • Define & develop strategic solutions that address the client’s business challenges/ goals, with brand & communication solution in the short term and business solution in the long-term.
  • Develop and write briefs based on client briefs and to address any issues/opportunities clients may have.
  • Lead the research to derive insights, measure results of campaigns and to explore new opportunities for clients.
  • Together with your team, develop creative briefs and propose creative directions to the creative team and provide input as needed during creative development to ensure that the strategic direction is correctly translated into creative work.
  • Supervise your team to develop a communication approach/plan.
  • Coordinate with Creative/Media/Account to detail out proposal details (budget KPIs …).
  • Present and manage client relationships to win the deals and maintain long-term collaboration.
  • Product development
  • Build and continuously update the strategy products to offer to clients.
  • Support development of strategy planning tools and methodologies.
  • Continuously develop, test, and package the products/solutions to provide better values to clients.
  • Team management
  • Supervise and direct the day-to-day operation of the team to ensure that the team is meeting its goals.
  • Monitor the plan & activities of the team members to ensure meeting standards and procedures for operation.
  • Conduct analysis to generate insight and recommend changes as may be required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Skills & Qualifications

Must have

  • Excellent problem solving capability
  • More than 3 years of experience, having a strategic planning background with strong marketing/brand/IMC/creative expertise
  • Hands-on experience in planning at every stage of brand and communication strategy
  • Keen interest and experience in analyzing marketing problems, brand tracking research and spotting opportunities to develop the brand
  • A solid background in developing brand and communications strategies across a variety of client sectors and marketing channels both on and offline
  • A strong understanding of core best practice strategic planning skills and tools
  • Comprehensive understanding of the changing marketing landscape and new digital engagement techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good to have

  • Experience as a senior Planning role within an integrated marketing communications (IMC) agency is a big plus
  • Understanding of business and marketing strategy
  • A good knowledge of research and media
  • Track record of growing people
